Have made some changes to the blog by removing some items...if you miss them let me know, it seems the more you embed (counters, chat rooms etc) the longer it takes to load, especially for anyone on dial-up. Hope it loads a bit faster...

Loads fine for me.

A preacher who got up one Sunday and
announced to his congregation:
"I have good news and bad news. The good news is, we have
enough money to pay for our new building program. The bad news
is, it's still out there in your pockets."

christians gonna love this game.

Imagine: you are a foot soldier in a paramilitary group whose purpose is to remake America as a Christian theocracy, and establish its worldly vision of the dominion of Christ over all aspects of life. You are issued high-tech military weaponry, and instructed to engage the infidel on the streets of New York City. You are on a mission - both a religious mission and a military mission -- to convert or kill Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, gays, and anyone who advocates the separation of church and state - especially moderate, mainstream Christians. Your mission is "to conduct physical and spiritual warfare"; all who resist must be taken out with extreme prejudice. You have never felt so powerful, so driven by a purpose: you are 13 years old. You are playing a real-time strategy video game whose creators are linked to the empire of mega-church pastor Rick Warren, best selling author of The Purpose Driven Life.

The game, slated for release by October 2006 in advance of the Christmas shopping rush, has been previewed at video game exhibitions, and reviewed by major newspapers and magazines. But until now, no fan or critic has pointed out the controversial game's connection to Mr. Warren or his dominionist agenda.

WATCH for broken URL

Moral: beat the christians before they do what they did to many many civilisations.
Remember the nazi storm troops? all christians - every one.

No one among the Nazi troups could truly have known the character and nature of Jesus and have done what they did. I think that a lot of people who call themselves "christians" are very much the same way. I am so sorry that you have been hurt by these people. I assure you that these actions not only piss Jesus off, but also grieve him terribly, if only for your sake and how you've been hurt. I hope you find peace and the true nature of Jesus. It will amaze you how contrary it is to what is out there parading around with his name tatooed on it. Thanks for your honesty and speaking your heart, hope to see more of you on this site!

CL - I hope you are joking here with both posts, sadly I can't convince myself that you are joking with either.

I know people who would preach according to your first comment, and though I hope it is not true of Rick Warren, I know of people who I think are sick enough to produce such a game as you describe in the second post.

Fortunately, not everyone who believes in Jesus and tries to follow his teachings has a dominionist agenda.

By the way Dave, it loads a bit quicker, and looks a bit less cluttered than it did with a' the wee flags etc. on it.

Loads quicker still if you browse with Opera and turn off photos, means you don't get to see the dividing fences though ...

Loads better now (must have been a nightmare for those on dial-up). Dont get distraced with gimmicks.

Like the Black on White for main text, but rest looks a bit bland. But content is always more important than image (or is it? ... debate!)

Content is more important, so I think the black/white is good, it does look bland, but with a few photos and some photos it helps.
I just really want to get the download time quicker, and that means cutting out some of the fancy things.
