Hate or Love - opposites attract

You know people say that love and hate are closely related, well in the last post 'Priest Idol' Matt commented on the 'love' thing. I reckon the more I look at this, love - true love that Jesus showed - is the most powerful thing in the world.

Hate is the most destructive - Love the most constructive, and yet at times we sway between the two...anyway I have included a sound file, I wanted to upload Stevie Wonder's 'Hey Love', but then I think this is even better. First heard this at an all-dayer at Blackpool Mecca about 25 years ago, and man it still sounds so good...

Razzy and 'I Hate Hate'...click here to listen

Here's some info on it 'apparently from a C&W background - but carrying a firm inter-racial message. Razzy came out of Nashville on his own label to be picked up by MGM. A real sleeper, it has been popular with soul and rare groove fans alike - even inspiring a cover version by UK DJ Danny Rampling (Sound of Shoom 1990)...taken from Spirit of the Mecca.

I heard this for the first time the other day in the car. It was one of those moments when both kids were screaming in the back, so i did what any concerned mother would do and turned up the music really loud until they quietened down - other drivers must have thought we were crazy, if only they knew!
