Porn - no longer top shelf

Click picture to read smaller print, now listen to these 'hard core' facts...

almost 18 percent of people who called themselves "born-again Christians" admitted visiting Internet porn sites, according to a 2000 survey of 1,031 adults by the evangelical group Focus on the Family.

In a 2002 Pastors.com survey, more than 50 percent of responding pastors reported viewing pornography in the previous year.

"It's definitely the church's dirty little secret," said Mike Foster, co-founder of the anti-porn site xxxchurch.com, which hosts online support groups for Christians trying to kick the habit.

I have put a link to their site, but just how much of a problem is this in the church, do we hide it away, when was the last time you heard a sermon on the bondage that masturbation can lead to, hey we don't mind preaching on the evils of cigarettes and alcohol.

The porn industry is putting countless numbers of women and children into life threatening situations, not to mention marriages and relationships that are being destroyed, how big a deal is porn addiction in Dingwall (I know the answer and its not good), what about Dingwall's churches?

Check out the site if you are addicted, it may be the break you need...

Definitely the best Christian Porn website there is.

I also like their statement of faith ... I'm gonna use that myself

Interstingly enough, our reading this week involved Paul telling Christians to stay away from orgies. Don't hear that preached on that often. But it's probably more relevant now than ever ... even if it's just "virtual orgies".

By the way, can I recommend installing Cyber Patrol. Best decision I made. Only my wife has the over-ride password. If your eye casues you to sin and all that!

Good lead Pete, and certainly better than gouging the eye out (though Jesus method is still the most effective!!). There is some software on the xxx site that emails a friend of your choice all the sites you have looked at, I am thinking of setting up a network of people who want to get this (it is free to download)
Only thing is everyone will know how much time we spend on EBay and downloading free music and sermons.

Will let you know anyway, I want to push this 'coming clean' to the churches up here, see who is willing to jump in.
